Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center
One of the largest centers of its kind in the United States, the professional staff at the Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) provide more than 58,000 diagnostic, therapeutic and related services to about 8,000 children and their families annually, while training close to 1,000 professionals each year.
The programs operated by CERC were established in 1956 as one of the first clinical activities operated by Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM). The programs are based at AECOM in the Rose F. Kennedy Center and in the Rousso Building.
CERC's satellite clinic at CHAM provides limited diagnostic and intervention services. These services are coordinated (in the Horizon Center) with other services offered at CHAM for children with chronic illness, disabilities, or congenital disorders. Children seen at CHAM who require more extensive diagnostic and treatment programs are referred to CERC's primary locations.
