Inpatient Care
Physicians specially trained in adolescent medicine staff a 22-bed state-of-the-art inpatient unit at The Children's Hospital at Montefiore for adolescents and young adults aged 13 through 20 years. The unit has an on-site school and a teen-friendly Child Life Program. All of the world-class subspecialists at CHAM consult on the unit.

Outpatient Care
The Adolescent Medicine Subspecialty Practice is staffed by physicians board certified in adolescent medicine. We care for youth aged 13 through 21 years. Our Adolescent Medicine physicians provide consultations for the diagnosis and management of:

Adolescent Medicine physicians also provide primary care, including yearly checkups, immunizations, sports physicals, employment physicals and sick visits.
Adolescent AIDS Program
A nationally recognized multidisciplinary program for the comprehensive medical and psychosocial management of adolescents and young adults with congenital or acquired HIV infection.
Bronx Nutrition and Fitness Initiative (B'N Fit)
A multidisciplinary program for overweight adolescents including comprehensive medical, psychosocial and nutritional evaluation, diet and exercise monitoring, group meetings, motivational sessions and a recreational component.
