AIDS - Adolescent AIDS Program

we specialize in providing medical and counseling services to adolescents who are infected with HIV, as well as adolescents who might be at-risk for HIV infection.The Adolescent AIDS Program (AAP) at The Children's Hospital at Montefiore is the country's first adolescent AIDS program and is a leader in the field of HIV/AIDS treatment, prevention and research for adolescents. The AAP serves as a local and national resource for:

  • Those living with HIV/AIDS,
  • Adolescents who are at-risk for HIV infection,
  • Healthcare providers who treat adolescents living with or at-risk for HIV infection,
  • Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning adolescents, their families and caregivers.

 

At our Risk Evaluation Program (REP) clinic, we specialize in providing medical and counseling services to adolescents who are infected with HIV, as well as adolescents who might be at-risk for HIV infection. Our clinic is a safe space for all youth and is staffed by a team of doctors, nurses, social workers and counselors, all of whom enjoy working with and meeting the special needs of young people.

What Our REP Clinic Can Do For You:

  • You'll feel welcome here. We care for all youth-straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning or on the DL.

  • Your privacy is respected here. All services are completely confidential.

  • You do not need your parent's permission to visit us for services, although they are welcome if you want to bring them.

  • We will work with you to secure insurance if you are not already covered.
