WIC services include:

Nutrition Education on topics such as:
- Infant feeding
- Nutrition for a healthy pregnancy
- Picky Eating Habits
- Weight loss - Breastfeeding Education and Support
- Nutritious Foods:
Milk, Cheese, Eggs, Juice, Beans, Peanut Butter, Iron-fortified Infant formula, Cereal, Tuna, Carrots.WIC foods are rich in protein, iron, Vitamins C and A, folic acid and calcium, which are vital to healthy development during pregnancy and early childhood. - Referrals to other health and social services in the community
What will happen at my first appointment?
Your first appointment will take about two hours. WIC staff will:
- Check your income, residency and identification.
- Teach you how the WIC program works.
- Give you ideas for healthy meals and snacks and answer your nutrition questions.
- Tell you about other services in your community.
- Tell you if you are eligible for the program.
- Give you your WIC checks, and an appointment for your next visit.
What to bring to my first appointment?
Women, infants and children applying for WIC must be present at the first visit. You also need to bring the following:
- Diet and Health History Forms
- Proof of income for all members of your household for the past month such as:
- Pay stubs
- Military LES
- Pay statement from employer
- Child support agreement
- TANF statement or check stub
- Medicaid card
- Food Stamp Program enrollment or renewal letter - Proof of where you live such as:
- Electric or phone bill
- Lease
- Piece of mail with your name and address on it
- Driver's license with your street address
- Medicaid card
- Food Stamp Program enrollment or renewal letter - Proof of identification for everyone applying for WIC such as:
- Driver's license
- School ID
- Medicaid card
- Employer ID card
- Birth certificate
- Hospital crib card
- Immunization record
- Hospital Discharge papers
