The Juilliard School

Musicians On Call (MOC)
MOC brings live music to the bedsides of patients at hospitals and healthcare facilities. The musician volunteers, who are escorted by trained guides, go room to room, performing one song in each for patients, their families and friends. MOC sponsors Project Playback offering groups of patients an opportunity to create and record an original song. Only Make Believe
This theatre troupe provides live performances in the playroom on six week cycles. They provide costumes for patients to join in the skits and the costume trunk remains at the hospital for daily use by the patients. Find out more at http://www.onlymakebelieve.org/

The Pinwheel Project
Their mission is to enhance medical care with simple touches that create smiles that comfort.  They bring around activity carts on the inpatient units to provide activities for patients and families.  Also they sponsor parties and celebratory meals for families to enjoy while at CHAM.  See more info at http://www.thepinwheelproject.org/ and become a volunteer!

Project Sunshine

Songs of Love
Writes personalized songs for seriously ill children.  Songs of Love has an annual concert in CHAM lobby each March to celebrate Child Life Month with us where they debut 3 new songs for patients to a live audience.  See more at http://www.songsoflove.org/ and learn how you can volunteer to be a messenger collecting song profiles!

Starlight Starbright
Provide mobile entertainment units containing a DVD player and the latest Nintendo game system that roll bedside in hospitals to provide fun and distraction for pediatric patients.  Host fun-filled parties and entertainers designed to offer hospitalized kids comfort, companionship and a welcome break from medical treatment.  Sponsor trips to local events including sports, entertainment, and theme parks.  Send monthly musicians to provide bedside entertainment.  Offer grant funded support for our music and art therapy programs. Urbanword NYC
Believes teenagers can and must speak for themselves and the key to building self-confidence, honing critical thinking skills, and developing imaginative and honest writing is to honor what they say and feel.
